Twitter Social Network (Syracuse Data Lab) Analyzed

A Twitter dataset of 11,316,811 users and 85,331,843 directed follower/followee edges, collected by Zafarani and Liu at Syracuse University Data Lab. Each record contains directed edges from follower to followee; bare integer node IDs (anonymized users). one of the largest publicly available Twitter follower networks, with 85M directed edges enabling large-scale social network analysis at the full platform scale. Suitable for large-scale network analysis, influence propagation, community detection, centrality computation, and information diffusion modeling.

CHECKED: Chinese COVID-19 Fake News Dataset Analyzed

A Weibo (CHECKED dataset) dataset of 2,104 microblogs with engagement and expert analysis, collected by Yang, Zhou, and Zafarani via Weibo (2020-2021). Each record contains microblog text, images, videos, engagement metrics (comments, reposts, likes), and expert analysis for fake news. The dataset is notable for its first Chinese COVID-19 fake news dataset with expert analysis, anonymized user IDs, and rich social interaction data. Intended for research into fake news detection, misinformation analysis, Chinese NLP, social network analysis, and public health communication.

LiveJournal Emotions Dataset (Jin & Zafarani 2017) Analyzed

A LiveJournal (blogging social network) dataset of 12,404,868 emotion-labeled posts from 115,444 users with 106,577 nodes and 961,392 friendship/follower edges, collected by Jin & Zafarani via LiveJournal API, distributed by Data Lab SU. Each record contains user ID, emotion label (-1=negative/0=neutral/1=positive), timestamp, friendship edges, follower edges, community membership. 12,404,868 LiveJournal posts labeled with trichotomous emotion scores across 115,444 users — uniquely combines social network structure (friendship + follower graphs) with per-post emotion labels and community membership for studying emotion propagation in networks. Suitable for emotion propagation in social networks, community emotion analysis, sentiment diffusion, social influence on emotion, network-based mood modeling.

LiveJournal Rich Social Network (Emotion Dataset) Analyzed

A LiveJournal social network of 106,577 users and 961,392 directed edges (793,948 follower links and 246,164 friendship links), from a crawl of the users within three hops of the seed user krazykitkat, pre-processed for the paper 'Emotions in Social Networks: Distributions, Patterns, and Models' (Jin and Zafarani): only users with 10 or more posts carrying a predefined LiveJournal mood were kept, and user ids are anonymized. This copy holds the two network files (Friendship.txt, Followers.txt) and the release README; the per-post mood file (Posts.txt) and community memberships (Community.txt) that the README describes are not included. Suitable for social network structure, follower and friendship analysis, community detection, social influence modeling.

YouTube Social Network v1 Analyzed

A multi-dimensional YouTube network crawled in December 2008 at Arizona State University (Tang & Liu), from the ASU Social Computing Data Repository: 15,088 active users and five weighted, undirected interaction layers with 13,628,895 edges in all. The layers are contacts (76,765), shared friends (1,940,806), shared subscriptions (5,574,249), shared subscribers (2,239,440) and shared favourite videos (3,797,635); each pair is listed once. Suitable for multi-layer network analysis and community detection.
